Planetary explorer is a creation of General Dynamics Space Systems Division's Marketing Communications for the sole purpose of providing a vehicle for the articles enclosed under the general title "The emigrant trail," and is not presented at this time as a continuing periodical magazine.
The Planetary Exploration Society is also a creation of General Dynamics Space Systems Division's Marketing Communications for the sole purpose of providing a "sponsor" for this fictitious publication.
The real author of this publication, Michael H. Smith, writes under the pseudonym D.K. McKinzie.
