During the evening of April 3, 1956 four powerful tornadoes struck western Lower Michigan, killing 18 people and injuring over 200. Most of the damage and fatalities resulted from an F5 tornado that devastated the towns of Hudsonville, Standale, Walker and Comstock Park. This book/DVD tells the story of how the storms formed, where they struck and includes dozens of eyewitness accounts of the terrible Tuesday evening. Dozens of archival photographs and home movies illustrate the horrific stories told by those who survived some of the strongest winds on Earth.
