An original description of how the Alps have been formed. Hans Jenny's field and laboratory work is quite excellent,his observations have been confirmed by many later geologists.His courageous 1924 book leading to original concepts has not received the recognition it has well deserved.(Prof.Dr.Rudolph Truempy head of the ETH Geology department in the mid 1900's.
