500 $aA two-dimensional lantern-shaped book of brown paper over cardboard, decorated with yellow, blue and white colored and illustrated paper collages. The brown paper "lantern glass" on the front cover has two layers, the upper layer encasing a white mesh window revealing, on the lower layer, a cutout paper tree adorned with rose leaves. Text and drawings are reproduced on white paper cut to fit under the front cover; front and back covers are sewn across the top edge and tied below the front center with blue yarn. Blue and yellow paper strips are woven in a basket-weave collage on the lower part of the "lantern."
