[1]) and of his "Attestation" (p. 4) that the work was printed "at the Hague, the 10th of April 1688," from the original French and Dutch text supplied by the author. The present translation itself, however, was actually printed elsewhere, possibly at Amsterdam or London (cf. BLC and Bibliotheca Lindesiana).
