520 $a An investigation of soil fauna was done on the Balmer mine site near Sparwood, British Columbia. The study was performed using mine spoil. Samples were taken from spoils inoculated with fauna. The small soil fauna helped to digest organics in the soil, creating fertilizer, and they also aerated the soil. Some of the fauna were trapped and studied.
