520 $aJohn A. Frankenstein (1789-1842) was born in Germany and married Anna Katherine Volhart (1791-1871). They were the parents of six children all of whom were born in Germany. In 1831 he immigrated to America and settled in Cincinnati. Members of the family were involved in art and literature and became prominent in the nearby community of Springfield. Descendants live in the United States.
