The latter inscription may is posited by the cataloging agency to be the ownership mark of the Lutheran minister and telescopic astronomer David Fabricius. On the recto of the same leaf is a full-page manuscript table of contents. Early marginalia and early inscriptions are present throughout the text. Initial spaces remain blank and the chapter headings are numbered in early manuscript.
