520 $aThe stochastic properties of the output of a multiprogramming computer system are studied by means of a simple cyclic queueing model. It is shown that output is asymptotically normally distributed. The parameters are determined by considering a cumulative stochastic process that depends upon busy period properties; the latter may be recursively determined. Numerical examples are provided.
