In this copy, gatherings [n]-[q] are bound-in at front. Leaf [n1] is torn and repaired and the initial is historiated and gilt, showing St. Ambrose writing in a book. Three-line initials are rubricated in red and blue throughout. Early marginalia, in several hands, is present. An early manuscript label is present on the bottom edge of the text block.
