14 <p> There are a number of ways to read a book on Open Library. Books that are freely available for download will have a "read" icon next to them. Books that have a "lock" icon next to them are only available to those who are blind or visually impaired and registered with the National Library Service of the Library of Congress. Books that have a "borrow" icon next to them can be borrowed for up to two weeks.
