Edition Notes

The volume includes 4 separately paginated works with special title pages dated 1558 or 1559. The preface (prelim. p. [1-10]), anonymous but emanating from the Society's leadership, and "Submonitio ad lectorem" on prelim. p. [10] suggest the whole was issued together, with the collective t.p., in 1559.
The text of the Constitutiones themselves is the official Latin version, formulated in 1558, of Ignacio Loyola's last Spanish recension.
Signatures: pi⁶ A-D⁸ E⁴ ²A-K⁸ ³A⁴ ⁴A-H⁸ ⁵A-C⁸ ⁶A⁴. pi1 or pi⁶, probably blank, wanting in LC copy.
Blank leaves: (pi1?) E3,4; ⁴H8; ⁵C7,8.
Errata at end of the Constitutiones, Declarationes, and Declarationes in Examen.
