Saravia is considered to be the most prolific sculptor in Nicaragua. Book indicates, however, that Saravia's most interesting work is the abstract series he painted from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s, influenced by Spanish informalism"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
