Edition Notes
Cataloged from defective LC copy with mutilated t.p. The one almost fully lost word on the t.p. begins with C, G, O, or Q.
Prepared originally by Raymundus de Pennaforte and promulgated in 1234 as church law by Gregory IX, the work became part of the pre-1918 Corpus juris canonici.
The (all-around) glosses are those originally compiled by Bernardo Bottoni (d. 1266), with later accretions by others.
The section of unnumbered pages at end contains Lodovico Bolognini's Concordantiarum Decretalium cum Decreto syllabus, and his Margarita Decretalium.
Imprint date begins "M. DC."; in view of layout, this was certainly followed by additional roman numerals. Horace Cardon's "editio ultima," with t.p. differently worded after "Papae IX." but except for the end ([43] p.) identical collation, is dated 1606.
Signatures: pi²(?) [dagger]⁶ 2[dagger]⁶ A-3P⁸ 3Q⁴ 3R⁸ 3S⁶ 3T⁶(?). LC copy lacks pi2 and 3T6.
Includes indexes.
LC copy imperfect: t.p. mutilated, prelim. leaf [2] and the final section's leaf [41] wanting, with text loss.
