First ed. of the O.T. in Hawaiian; the N.T. (imprint Honolulu : Ka na Misionari mea pai, 1837) is the 2nd ed., also issued separately.
Buke II of the O.T. dated May 10th. 1839 on p. 887.
LC has copy presented to Congress July 20, 1841 by H. Bingham, one of the translators; note on front free end paper verso says it was printed and bound by natives of the islands. Printed letter from Bingham dated Hartford, March 17th, 1841 mounted on back ultimate flyleaf verso and back free endpaper recto.
