Book is divided into two parts, one on canon law and one on civil law. The civil law section has a special t.p.: "Enchiridii juris synopsis posterior: id est, Juris civilis definitiones, distinctiones, et petitiones, per quaestiones claras, breves, et doctrinales, omnes libros ac titulos institutionum imperialium, juxta seriem & ordinem D. Justiniani Imperatoris solidé ac perspicué explanantes & enucleantes, compilatae ab authore B. S."

Author of second part ("B.S.") is sometimes erroneously identified with Stephan Dobner, who published an edition of the Synopsis under his name in 1727.
