Large woodcut (Christ as Man of Sorrows) on t.p., followed by 11 leaves of woodcuts; the Latin verses, compiled and partly written by Chelidonius, are found in letterpress at the foot of the recto and on the verso of the t.p. and on the verso of leaves 2-10.

This work, along with Dürer's "Epitome in Divae Parthenices Mariae historiam" and his "Apocalipsis cum figuris," which he describes in his Netherlands journal as "die grossen Bücher," were originally issued together in 1511, and some copies survive thus; but they are more usually found separately.
