Examined are frescoes in two Athonite katholika, Chelandari (1320-1) and Pantokrator (1360-70), and two chapels, the Chapel of Agios Demetrios in Xenophontos (14th century, 3rd quarter) and the Chapel of Agios Ioannis Theologos in the Cell of Agios Prokopios in Vatopedi (15th century, 2nd quarter). From Edessa and Veria, there are the frescoes in the Old Cathedral (1375-85 or '89) and from the no longer surviving Agia Fotini (late 14th-early 15th century). From Kastoria there are four groups of frescoes from the Churches of Agios Georgios tou Vounou (c. 1385), Agios Nikolaos tou Tzotza (14th century, 3rd quarter), Panagia Faneromeni (late 14th-early 15th century), and Agios Andreas tou Rousouli (c. 1430).
