Edition Notes

English translations of selected fairy tales by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, together with Chinese translations of the same. Purports to be the complete Grimm's fairy tales, but contains only 16 stories. Most of the English translations are by D.L. Ashliman, some are by Margaret Hunt ("Little red cap" and "The wolf and the seven young kids," with "The goose-girl" being Margaret Hunt's translation with edits/corrections by D.L. Ashliman), and for others ("The frog prince," "The three snake-leaves," and "The sleeping beauty") the translator could not be determined.
