Reprint (with new afterword) of the 1st ed. (Zürich : Verlegt durch Conrad Meyern ... und ... bey ihme zufinden ; Getrukt zu Zürich : Bey Johann Jacob Bodmer, 1650) from the 62 original copper plates in the possession of the publisher, with repositioning of the verses that were printed in the 1650 ed. above the plates. In the present ed. those verses appear on the text pages above the text.
Added engraved t.p., as in original, with title: Rudolf Meyers S. Todten-Dantz.
The text accompanying the plates is the work of Georg Müller, Swiss Lutheran clergyman.
