This first volume is an inventory of the archaeological sites of 30 provinces in Dominican Republic. The entries in the catalogue are illustrated with numerous images of ceremonial and domestic objects, ceramic pieces, burial sites and monolithic axes, along interpretative texts and a comprehensive bibliography. The study continues the archaeological research lead by architect José Antonio Alvarez that in the 1970s started the scientific study of the Pre-Columbian cultures in the Dominican Republic leading a team that included the author and others.
