Author's name given in text on p. 7. Place and printer from added etched t.p. Imprimatur dated March 1638.
Illustrations: 5 etchings by Stefano Della Bella, comprising illustrated t.p., port. of the emperor, and views of the facade of San Lorenzo, the interior and the catafalque. All are de Vesme's 2nd state. The etched title and port. are signed with Della Bella's monogram SDB. The facade has legend: A.no 1637 Alfo:us Parigi.vs inv. Stef.vs Della Bella Deli. et F. The last 2 etchings are unsigned. The etched title appeared previously in its 1st state in: Orazione di Piero Strozzi recitata... nell'esequie... dell' imp.re Ferdinando II... il di 2. d'Apr.le 1637. The port. also appeared previously in the same publication.
Lower right corner of port. with Della Bella's monogram trimmed away.
Under no. 74, a view by Della Bella of the interior of San Lorenzo arrayed for the funeral of Francesco de' Medici in 1634, de Vesme notes that this print in its 3rd state sometimes appears as ill. in the present work.
No impression of de Vesme 74 included in Getty copy.
