Description based on: 1759.

John Adams Library copy is comprised of issues for the years 1778, 1783, 1784, and 1814 only. This copy was transferred from the supervisors of the Temple and School Fund in Quincy, Mass., in 1894. A bookplate on the front pastedown reads ́John Adams Library, in the Custody of the Boston Public Library. ́

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy 1: individual issues are bound separately in early sheep, calf, and goatskin with various decorative elements. Three volumes (1750, 1754, and 1788) each have different gilt armorial super-ex-librises on their covers. The 1788 issue is in an early binding of red morocco, as executed by Nicolas Denis Derome, with elaborately gilt and tooled panels, gilt text block edges, and blue silk doublures.

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy comprised solely of the issue for the year 1772. This copy is bound in early red morocco heavily tooled and panelled in gilt with the armorial super-ex-libris of Louis Phelypeaux, the French minister of state. This copy may have been bound by Derome.
