Title from an earlier and later edition which have the same title, both printed in Lima, one by Antonio Ricardo in 1586, the other by Francisco del Canto in 1614. Medina gives the title as: Gramatica y vocabularia en la lengua general del Peru ... There is no copy of the present work known to have a title page.
At head of 1st numbered leaf: Arte de la lengua general del Peru, llamada Quichua.
Authorship attributed to Ludovico Bertonio, Francisco del Canto, Domingo de Santo Tomás, Diego González Holguín, Diego de Torres Rubio, and to Alfonso Bárcena. Cf. NUC Pre-1956 entry NA 0438790.
Publication statement from colophon. The printer's shop was located in Seville.
