Pedro Juan Cavallero el Patriota de la Libertad is a novel about a paraguayan national heroe who had an active role in the paraguayan independence in 1811. The novel narrates his childhood, his adolescence, youth and mature life. All his dreams for his country and his fight against the dictator Gaspar Rodríguez de Francia. Pedro Juan had a tragic endm he preferred to kill himself couple days before his execution on Jyly 13 1821. This novel is full of emotions produced byt he desire for freedom not only for an individual like Pedro Juan but also for the country Paraguay.
