Library's c. 2 bound with: Catalogo degli scrittori bassanesi del secolo XVIII, published as part of De' bassanesi illustri. Also included in c. 2 is the frontispiece from De' bassanesi illustri, depicting Canova's relief monument to Giovanni Volpato.

Copy 2 bound in decorated paper wrappers.

Inserted in c. 2 is a printed slip from a catalog of Libreria Gaspare Casella, Napoli, with description of the present copy. A penciled inscription at the head of the slip identifies its source as: Catalogo n. 117, luglio 1939.

In notes written inside the front cover of c. 2 as well as in the entry from Casella's catalog, the MS annotations throughout the vol. are ascribed to Gamba, the author. They were apparently made in anticipation of a second ed., and include corrections, additional information on artists included in the present ed., and entries for two new artists, Francesco Ambrosi and Antonio Frigo. Tipped in at p. 75 of the Catalogo degli scrittori bassanesi is a leaf with corrections to that portion. It is attributed to Giovanni Antonio Moschini in the notes inside the front cover, an attribution repeated in Casella's catalog entry.
