A book about alumnae memories from a prominent school for girls in Goa, India. In English. Talks about life in Goa in the 1960s and 1970s. Specially at times when many students here 'boarders', as their parents worked overseas and transport facilities were limited. Interesting narration about the tough and challenging, though interesting, lives of those times. Many seem to agree that the school made them what they were, and some of the chapters underline how the Goan educational system of those times worked well for the upcoming generations from here, despite all its problems!

This book is made up of essays penned by past-pupils of St Mary's Convent. This prominent six-decades old institution is based in the North Goa town of Mapusa, in coastal western India. The network that contributed to this book emerged from a virtual community built in cyberspace by past-pupils of that institution, and an electronic mailing list called GreenChillies.
