One of two editions published in 1638. This ed. has a siren at the head of the dedication, and the other has a buffalo's head and p. 200 and 336 misnumbered as 220 and 536, respectively. Variant issue of the first ed. has "S.R.Q.R.," on the t.p. while this was has the correct abbrevation "S.P.Q.R." Cf. Rahir.
Signatures: *⁴ A-O¹² P⁸.
Illustrated, engraved. t.p. showing Romulus and Remus being nursed by a female wolf.
