This book presages the evolution of the situation that the human race now finds itself in on the planet called Earth. It compares, in quality, to "Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed" (Jared Diamond) in accuracy, intelligence; and the implied alarms of klaxon-like intensity presented: {at least, for readers who may have an interest in "species survival." } Examples of population dynamics in animals as diverse as bacteria, and Canada Lynx, (and many others) demonstrate the common reaction among them all to overpopulation and resource depletion. It is interesting to note how "current events" arise from the realities elaborated in this volume.
