This particular work describes the blood vessels of the lizard Psammosauri grisei, including his own drawings based on injection specimens that he himself had prepared. Psammodromus is a genus of wall lizards of the family Lacertidae. Alfonso Corti is best known for describing the organ of Corti in the cochlea of the ear.
