An edition of Alfredo Zalce (2005)

Alfredo Zalce

"Major edition dedicated to reviewing the life and art of famous Michoacán artist Zalce. The book includes texts by Juan Soriano, Beatriz Zalce (his daughter), Miguel Ángel Echegaray, Ignacio Sosa and Víctor Roura illustrated with many color plates of the prolific artwork of the artist. Alfredo Zalce, defined by Roura as an artist of 'complex simplicity' was a passionate artist whose artwork reflected his critical condemn of social injustice and who actively participated in the cultural missions founded by José Vasconcelos and with the TGP (Taller de Gráfica Popular). Although Zalce experimented obsessively with different techniques and styles his art was very luminous and with a strong social message"--Provided by vendor.
