Daniel Serrano is a New York City lawyer and novelist. His novels include Boogie Down and Gunmetal Black, and are informed by a childhood spent in hardscrabble neighborhoods in New York and Chicago. Serrano received his undergraduate education through the weekend degree program at Shimer College, a small Great Books college in the Chicago area, and his legal education at St. John's University.
