MICHAEL DREW SHAW is a filmmaker, producer, and multi-media entertainment entrepreneur. He began his career in radio and has twenty years of broadcasting experience plus an extensive background in entertainment consulting and media management.
Michael is co-founder of American Retrospects, NewStar Productions and US20 Records. Clients include HBO, CBS Music, PBS, Paramount Pictures, and the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame.
He is the voice of Radicals & Visionaries, stories about entrepreneurs who revolutionized the 20th Century and is a featured narrator at audible.com, the world’s largest provider of online audio.
Michael writes and narrates a PBS series about American business pioneers called The Dream Warriors™ and recently launched LA Global Networks to produce and distribute a new radio and Internet show called LIMELIGHT AMERICA, “Inspiring Interviews with Fascinating People”
An accomplished composer, he often scores his television productions and has written theme songs for Publix Diet Soda, Burger King, Parker Brothers’ Monopoly Anniversary Edition and the MGM Grand Hotel.
His award-winning documentaries include The Flight of Apollo Eleven, Distant Shores and the highly acclaimed PBS television special Ohio, A Sentimental Journey.
Michael’s literary works include AM 1230, Unsuspecting Friends and SLIDER, The Leo Butterburger Story, an original novel now being transformed into a feature film.
He is a partner in Fantasy Entertainment and Game Show Grill©, a new theme restaurant and online virtual club.
Michael is a former National Association of Broadcasters Code Council board member and past president of CBS Music DataBank©. He supports entrepreneurship through motivational projects at Carnegie-Mellon University and the Dallas-Hamilton Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at Bowling Green State University.
