Juan Gómez-Jurado, nato a Madrid nel 1977 e laureato in scienze della comunicazione, si è formato come giornalista presso le redazioni dei più noti media spagnoli. In seguito al successo internazionale di La spia di Dio, suo romanzo d’esordio, ha visto diventare realtà il sogno di sempre: dedicarsi a tempo pieno alla scrittura, passione che coltiva sin da giovanissimo e che gli ha fatto ottenere diversi riconoscimenti letterari, fra cui il Premio Nacional Nuevos de Alfaguara 1996 e il premio Ciudad de Torrevieja 2008.
