H. Warner Munn

Harold Warner Munn wrote fantasy and horror stories that were published in the 1920s and 1930s in the pulp magazine Weird Tales. He also wrote two series of novels. The Merlin saga started with King of the World’s Edge, which was published in 1939, followed by The Ship from Atlantis in 1967 and Merlin's Ring in 1974. The Tales of the Werewolf Clan started with The Werewolf of Ponkert, published in 1925, and inspired by H. P. Lovecraft.

Weird Tales stopped publishing his work in the 1940s, and Munn did not publish much after that until Ballantine republished some of his Merlin series in the 1970s.
