King James

King James I of England, who commissioned the famous King James Bible (KJV).
He became King of Scotland as James VI in 1567 (at just 1 year old!),
Later became King of England and Ireland in 1603, succeeding Elizabeth I,
He is best known for commissioning the King James Version of the Bible, published in 1611 — a translation that deeply influenced the English-speaking world.
