Title in black and red
Translation by William Oldisworth. See Dictionary of national biography (published online 23 September 2004): "Oldisworth was reputed to be a fine translator, and in 1712, he, along with William Broome, contributed to John Ozell's five-volume translation of the Iliad. This was followed, in 1712-13, by a parodic version of Horace's odes, in which he translated Richard Bentley's edition of Horace, providing satirical notes on Bentley's lengthy annotations to his edition."
Sets may be made up of different editions of the parts and some also include in addition: 'Dr. Bentley's dedication of Horace ...' [identified on some copies as London: Printed for John Morphew ...], : and 'The life of Horace [by Suetonius], with Dr. Bentley's preface ...' [identified on some copies as London: Printed for Bernard Lintot ..."] with varying dates between 1712 and 1720
Each part has separate title page and pagination; I-XVII dated 1712, XVIII-XXIV dated 1713. Published as a whole in 1713
