It is to be regretted that he did not go through the whole work as he intended; but these perhaps may be interesting to collectors of books -- Letters to and from Edward Gibbon, Esq. -- The remains of Mr. Gibbon were deposited in Lord Sheffield's family burial-place, in Fletching, Sussex; whereon is inscribed the following epitaph, written at his Lordship's request by a distinguished scholar, the Rev. Dr. Parr
