Catherine Paton presumably wrote this letter to Maria Weston Chapman. Paton thanks Maria W. Chapman for the kind notes and the books and copies of the Liberty Bell. Catherine Paton read James R. Lowell's description of the anti-slavery bazaar. She asks for advice on the most suitable contributions to the bazaar. She tells about the opposition of the clergy. She has been busy collecting signatures. Henry C. Wright is recovering from a severe illness; he is now in Dublin
Also with the same Call No. Ms.A.9.2 v.23, p.19, is an envelope with the delivery address: Maria Weston Chapman, Boston
