Three sequences of emblems, each numbered I-XV, and an initial emblem. They are copies, mostly reversed and in places simplified, of those by Boëce van Bolswert for the original Antwerp ed. of 1624. Four engravings signed in the plate by Monbard
Signatures: ã¹ A-R¹² S². In 1st gathering, leaves 2-5 signed ã2, ã3, ã5, ã6
Getty copy lacks leaf R10 with p. 403-404
Binding: 19th-century marbled paper, backed in goatskin. Title in gilt on spine. Edges sprinkled red
