Inscription on front flyleaf verso: "D. Jenks, AB, Feby 7th, 1780," with hand-drawn coat of arms (three boars' heads erased and the motto "virescit vulnere virtus.") Ca. 18th-century inscription of volume contents on same leaf. Inscription on title page verso: "from the Augustin Daly library." Lot no. 3752 in the Daly sale of March, 1900 (American Art Galleries). Acquired April, 1900
