How easy?
The introduction claims this reader is made up of selections and intended for learners who find Xenophon too hard.
From Preface, "[The readings] are selected from post-classical authors... In the fables, two versions are often given of the same fable in order to make up for the difficulty of the vocabulary."
A sample:
"The Ladder. 8. Σχολαστικὸς μαθὼν περὶ κλίμακός τινος ὅτι ἀναβαινόντων ἔχει βαθμοὺς εἴκοσιν, ἐπύθετο εἰ καὶ καταβαινόντων τοσοῦτοί εἰσιν."
