Issued in 8 parts between 29 October 1825 and 13 January 1827
"Almost simultaneously with the treatment of the family in the second volume of the Prodromus systematis naturalis regni vegetabilis, published in November 1825. De Candolle had previously published the diagnoses of 14 new genera and 52 new species in the Annales des sciences naturelles 4:90-103 (January 1825). The latter publication was intended to safeguard priority for his new names, and the Mémoires provided an explanation of the reasons underlying the classification adapted in the Prodromus." --Taxonomic literature (2nd ed.), volume 1, page 449 (number 1001)
The plates are signed: Heyland delt
The plates are numbered I-LXX and XXI bis
Errors in paging: the numbers 329-338 are omitted from the pagination sequence without loss of text; the numbers 348-355 are duplicated once, with each sequence having different text
