Page 47 of book, carrying over to Pagge 48, does not list Eliza Amanda Hamilton, as a daughter of Jonathan Hamilton and Margaret Malissa Williams, but she was their daughter. Please refer to 1860 census and you will see her listed, among the other children. Eliza married Dennis H. Daugherty on September 2, 1860, in McMinn County, Tennessee. They later divorced in 1883. She lived in Texas, and later moved to Oklahoma where she died in 1920. They had the following children: Andrew Johnson Daugherty, born May 26, 1961, died May 4, 1927, Malissa Daugherty born and died 1863, Lettie Daugherty born 1864, died 1894, Mary Elizabeth Daugherty, born February 22, 1867, Died May 1, 1942, Joseph Elexander Daugherty born July 9, 1969, died October 22, 1931 (My grandfather), Mabel Daugherty born and died 1871, Margaret Emily Daugherty Broyles born FEbruary 13, 1873, died June 22, 1952, and finally James Albert Daugherty born 1875 and died 1957.
Dennis and Eliza went to Texas after the Civil War, Dennis returned to Tennessee with Joseph and Margaret Emily, but the remainder of the children stayed in Texas with Eliza.
These people are my great grandmother and great grandfather.
