Tres de Diana is a short novel about police incidents occurred in Merida, Yucatan, in the last 50 years of the twentieth century. Cleverly, the narrator puts us at the funeral of a police cadet who, in fulfilling their duty heroically and dies burned.
Generations of policemen gather at the wake, which represents a perfect opportunity for the anecdotes flow as well as a variety of stories which by their nature caused a commotion in the past. Such is the case of a haunted house or an escape attempt at the prison, which ultimately resulted in a homicide.
Anecdotes and personal experiences, to be told as much by young police officers with more history, a glimpse into the city at different historical moments. A couple of these stories the police will unveil the story of young policeman killed, which concludes in an unexpected way in the last chapter.
Told in the style of the news story, this short novel takes on historical values to the extent that facts presented and documented. His reading takes us back to those notes of police events that once occupied the headlines in the newspapers.
