Work Description

The 24th formerly Inspector, now Superintendent Alleyn detective novel. A mysterious wealthy patron gives a young man a "bombed-out" theater along with a glove belonging to "the bard," Shakespeare. Once the theater is renovated, the man is inspired to write a play about the glove. The play is a success, a violent death occurs, someone is attacked and the glove is stolen.
