Elena Fortún

17 November 1886 - 1952

Elena Fortún (pseudónimo por el que es conocida Encarnación Aragoneses Urquijo) nació el 17 de noviembre de 1886. Estudio Filosofía y Letras. Se casó con Eusebio Gorbea (militar y escritor) y siguiendo los destinos de su marido vivió en Canarias, San Roque, Zaragoza, Barcelona y Madrid. Los acontecimientos de la Guerra Civil española determinaron el exilio del matrimonio que, al finalizar la contienda, se trasladó a Buenos Aires (Argentina) desde Francia. En 1950 Elena Fortún vuelve definitivamente a España y se establece en Madrid, con visitas frecuentes a su amada Segovia y al pueblecito de Ortigosa. Muere en 1952.
