50 copies printed in dark brown at Wild Carrot Letterpress, Hadley, Mass., and Kelly·Winterton Press, New York, on beige J.B. Green paper from Diotima type. Signed in pencil by the translator (in Persian) and the artist.

Calligraphy by Jerry Kelly (on t.p.) and Zahra Partovi (Persian text).

Consists of a strip formed from 5 sheets joined and folded accordion-style to form 20 pages (on 8 double leaves and 2 single leaves) with English text on one side, and 14 pages (on 7 double leaves) with Persian text on the other side, with blank leaves at beginning and end attached to front and back covers respectively.

Illustrations: 30 prints : etching, hand-col. (18), mezzotint, col. (12) ; various sizes. Printed by Shigemitsu Tsukaguchi; hand-coloring by the artist. Subject: "Grass portraits" (cf. Henry) and cupped hands, one with silver foil montage. Top edge of 2nd-4th sheet torn and outlines of tops of grass blades cut out by Zahra Partovi; cutout elements in remaining 2 ill.

Binding: Publisher's greenish gray Dieu Donné part grass fiber paper boards, by Zahra Partovi; in a matching portfolio with ebony button and ribbon tie.
