Note at end, in English and Italian, by Arrigo Cipriani, son of Giuseppe Cipriani who served the author in his inn on the island of Torcello, Venice.

Originally published in Italian in Epoca, 1950; in English translation in Holiday, 1951. Cf. preface, signed Nancy Hoyt.

"Printed ... on a Hacker Handpress. The type is Bembo with Lydian Cursive for display ... Phelps-Schaefer Litho-Graphics Company of Brisbane, printed the illustrations. The design, letterpress printing and binding were done at Foolscap Press, Santa Cruz, in an edition limited to 250 numbered copies. Copies 1-10 are specially bound"--Colophon.
