Authored by Toshikatsu Ienari, co-founder of Osaka-based dot architects, this multi-chapter volume consists of texts derived from his personal experiences. Among these are Ienari?s hometown of Rokko, the Great Hanshin Earthquake (1995), and events in the Kitakagaya area of Osaka, where he once lived in an apartment building. The book gives insight into the approach of dot architects, which is perceived as dynamic and sometimes with an anarchistic attitude. The studio goes beyond general architectural design by intervening in construction, developing a wide range of activities such as event planning, participation in art projects, performances, and managing cultural spaces.
